BEHIND THE SONG: YOU WILL BE MY SONG
This was the first song I wrote after a very dry season. I had been through a personally challenging time for a couple of years and it seemed I had lost my desire to write. I had more questions than I had answers, and nothing seemed to fit into the traditional praise and worship songs I had heard and sung. As I made a step of faith to begin writing, I was reminded of a time many years ago when the Lord spoke so clearly to me from Psalm 40:3…”I have put a new song from your mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see it and fear, and put their trust in the Lord.” I realized that when I didn’t have a song to sing, He would be my song. [DON MOEN]
